Peter Baker, Ryder Cup player (1993) – Director of golf and resident PGA professional.
Peter’s CV needs little introduction. A PGA professional since 1986, he has played in over 500 tournaments on the European Tour and notched-up notable wins.
Since reaching the age of 50, Peter has played on the Legends Tour. He has won the 2023 Irish Legends, JCB Championship and Staysure Senior PGA Championship and he won the Tour Championship in Mauritius, becoming winner of the season long Legends Tour Order of Merit 2023.
Richard Bissell – PGA Professional
Richard qualified as a PGA Professional at the PGA National Training Academy at The Belfry in 1997.
From 1997 until 2020 he was Head Professional at Patshull Park Golf and Country Club, gaining a great reputation in retail, golf management and coaching.
He is a past captain of Shropshire and Herefordshire PGA and has sat on the PGA Midland Region Committee.
Richard has a great knowledge of the golf swing and is happy coaching players of varying abilities in individual or group sessions.
He represented Shropshire and Herefordshire as an amateur and turned professional in 1993, winning many PGA and County Events.

Ian Guest – Pro Shop Manager
Ian has been a member of South Staffs since his junior days. He has served on the club committee for a number of years and played in all of the men’s teams. He currently plays off a handicap of 3.
Ian manages all aspects of the pro shop alongside the professional teaching staff and he is accomplished in club repairs and fitting.
